Rigid polyurethane foam is widely used in the fields of modular house, external wall of the building, cool room, air-condition insulation, shipping, refrigerated truck body, sound insulation of the decoration and so on. It has excellent representation in substituting the heat preservation materials and sound insulation materials such as fiber glass cotton, Rockwool, EPS, XPS in the refrigeration, low temperature flow and architecture industries. 1、Thermal insulation As the best thermal insulation material that widely used in the world, the heat conductivity of PU is about 0.022W/m•K, much lower than the common insulation material EPS(0.041),XPS(0.030),and which is about 1/20000 of silver, 1/11000 of the aluminum, 1/3-5 of the average woods, 1/10 of the common plastic, and 1/40 of the glass. It is much cheaper to use PU panels to achieve the same thermal insulation effect. 2、Intensity It is usually referred to compressed intensity, the intensity that compresses 10% of the sample. The intensity and density of a product has direct proportion relation, that is, if the density is bigger, the intensity stress also gets stronger. The compressive stress of 40KG/m3 is 1.5-2.4 Mpa, which means that every square meters can survive the stress of 150-250kg. 3、Fire resistant According to the laboratory standard of fire resistant test, the requirement of the PU fire resistance is: hard to burn, hard for flame to spread, little smoking and producing little harmful gas when burning. The usual way to resist fire is to add the fire resistant polyether or fire retarding agent when producing. The Oxygen Index can be 26 more than 26 and the PU can extinguish itself in 5-10 seconds when is away from fire. If there is special requirements, we also can improve the oxygen index into 33 or higher than that, and it can extinguish itself in less then 2 seconds. 4、Environmental friendly We won’t use that Freon which can destroy the ozonosphere, and won’t add the poisonous agent but fully support the use of PU panels. It can replace other materials that aren’t degradable which will produce pollution so as to protect the earth.
5、Weather resistance Weather resistance is referred to the thermal system’s adaptability to changes of weather. That is, under different weather, whether the stability and thermal effect get change or problems related to quality happen. Weather resistance is a very significant index of thermal panels. According to the international test(100×100×original thichness,in the background of 70℃ and 48h, the PU present used at home is less than 1.0%. So PU panel has very good characteristics of weather resistance and stability
